In filming, "third person" refers to a perspective rendered from a fixed distance behind and slightly above the character. The backpack mount uses the RAM Mount System. It comes with GoPro mounts as well at 1/4 -20 posts. The RAM mount is a ball and joint system. Many do-it-yourself DIY Mount systems can't hold up to the force of a fall.
